Dear Juno or any other pregnant teenager, Hello my name is Jasmine Macias and I am currently a senior in high school and not too much older then you were. Having unprotected sex when you are bored isn't the right thing to do but carrying that baby to term and giving it to Mark and Vanessa was a good act because there is always women in the world that can't have children and you gave them the miracle of life even though Mark didn't stick around. I understand it must have been a hard decision for you to make whether to get an abortion or not but in my opinion a baby is a baby and the ones that made the mistake should deal with the consequences. Although, even though you chose to carry the baby to term and give him up for adoption it was tough dealing with the looks and name calling people did but you looked the other way and didn't care what they were saying and I respect that because you took responsibility.Mistakes like having unprotected sex when your bored can change your life but some people believe that getting an abortion gets rid of the problem but in my opinion it would just haunt you for the rest of your life. We watched a video in class about a women who was having an abortion and she was so sure she wanted one but after the procedure was done she broke down in tears because it was hard to do. When someone has an abortion they don't think about where the baby goes after because they all usually end up in a freezer. Many unwanted babies that never see the light of day. I believe in the choice to have an abortion but I also believe in pro life because its a baby and I feel you should be able to have an abortion due to the baby having birth defects.
Well I think you made the best decision in the situation you were put in and it was best that you didn't get an abortion because after having the baby your life went back to normal knowing he was in the best hands. A life is a life no matter unborn or not because it is growing and has the same DNA as it would when it grows up. Think of what is the best overall solution and that a life is on the hands.
